What it is
Events lets you schedule services, classes, and special gatherings on a calendar. Groups lets you organize people into ministry teams, small groups, or volunteer crews with optional capacity limits.

Step-by-step workflow
Events
- Open Events — Navigate to Dashboard → Events.
- Create an event — Click New Event (or visit with
?create=true). Enter title, date, time, campus, and recurrence if applicable. - View calendar — Switch between week and day views to see your schedule.
- Link to attendance — Check-ins associated with an event appear in Attendance filters by service type.
Groups
- Open Groups — Navigate to Dashboard → Groups.
- Create a group — Add a name, description, and optional capacity limit.
- Add members — Drag people into groups or assign them from the person drawer.
- Guest check-in — Groups can appear as options on the guest check-in form so visitors can self-select a group.
Tips & common issues
- Recurring events — Set recurrence rules for weekly services so you don't recreate them each Sunday.
- Group capacity — Set capacity limits on groups that have physical space constraints (e.g., nursery, youth class).
- Automations — Create automations triggered by event creation or reminders to notify registered attendees.
