What it is
Giving Setup connects your church to Stripe so you can accept online donations — one-time gifts, recurring tithes, and fund-specific contributions. Once connected, giving links and QR codes become available across check-in and your public giving page.
Where to find it

Step-by-step workflow
- Open Giving settings — Go to Dashboard → Settings and select the Giving tab.
- Connect Stripe — Click Connect with Stripe to start Stripe Connect onboarding. You'll be redirected to Stripe to verify your church's identity and bank account.
- Complete onboarding — Fill in your church's legal name, EIN (if applicable), and bank details in Stripe's hosted flow.
- Return to SteadyFaith — After Stripe onboarding, you'll return to SteadyFaith automatically. Confirm the connection status shows as active.
- Configure receipt settings — Set your receipt email template, church name on statements, and optional platform fee display.
- Create funds — Go to Dashboard → Giving → Funds and create your giving buckets (Tithes, Offering, Building Fund, Missions, etc.).
- Test a gift — Make a small test donation through your public giving page to confirm the full flow works.
Tips & common issues
- Stripe test mode — During setup, use Stripe test mode to verify the flow before accepting real donations.
- Capability gating — The Giving section in the sidebar appears only for users with giving permissions. Contact your church owner if you don't see it.
