What it is
Guest check-in lets visitors register their attendance by scanning a QR code with their phone camera. No app download is required — guests fill in a short form and are checked in instantly.
Where to find it
- Guest check-in page:
/checkin?church={your-church-slug} - Share link & QR: Dashboard home → Quick Actions
- Live feed: Dashboard home and Dashboard → Attendance
Step-by-step workflow
- Get your check-in link — From the dashboard, open Quick Actions and copy the check-in URL or download the QR code image.
- Display the QR code — Print it on a sign, show it on a screen, or place it at your church entrance.
- Guest scans the code — Guests open their phone camera, scan the QR code, and land on your branded check-in form.
- Guest fills in details — They enter first name, last name, phone number (required), email (optional), and consent to receive updates.
- Optional group selection — If you have groups configured, guests can select one to join during check-in.
- Submit — The guest is checked in and appears in your live attendance feed within seconds.
- Optional giving prompt — If enabled in check-in settings, guests may see a giving prompt after check-in.
Tips & common issues
- Works for any event — Use check-in for Sunday services, youth events, conferences, classes, and volunteer meetings.
- Manual check-in — Volunteers can check in guests from Dashboard → Attendance by enabling check-in mode, or via the Quick Action
?checkin=truelink. - Duplicate prevention — Check-in settings let you set a duplicate window so the same person isn't checked in twice within a short period.
